Cake Base: Wood Tree Stump

 

My inspiration for my cake was that I wanted something simple yet rustic. The Burlap and Rustic Herat Cake Topper gave it all the rustic feel that I wanted.

 

The cutting utensils:

 

We bought a set of plain cake cutting utensils and wrapped the handle in dark brown yarn and tied a silk bow around them to add a bit of rustic flare.

 

The Cupcakes:

 

The cupcakes were also made by HyVee. We had them alternate with a brown and white whipped frosting. We placed around the cake table on different rustic stands we found at goodwill and painted them a rustic orange color. It added various heights to the cake table that made it look amazing.
